1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over time, so you don’t have to re-enter them each visit. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and pixels.

2. Why we use cookies

We use cookies for the following reasons:

  • To remember your preferences (e.g. tier, position)
  • To understand how the Service is used and improve it
  • To deliver relevant marketing communications (where you have opted in)

3. Types of cookies we use

3.1 Strictly necessary cookies

Required for the Service to function. These cookies cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions you take, such as logging in or submitting a form.

  • icon:cookie-consent (local storage) — remembers your cookie choice.
  • icon:has-account (local storage) — shows the sign-in tab instead of sign-up on your device.

3.2 Functional cookies

Used to remember preferences and provide enhanced features. These do not directly track you across sites.

  • icon:theme — remembers whether you chose day or night mode.
  • icon:welcomed, icon:onboarding-seen, icon:tutorial-watched — remember which welcome screens and videos you have already seen.
  • icon:position-set, icon:profile, icon:tier — keep your position and profile details on your device so the app loads faster.
  • icon:session-modal-shown, icon:install-prompt-* — stop the same pop-ups from appearing again.

3.3 Analytics cookies

Help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. We only set these where you have consented.

  • PostHog — product analytics, session replay, and feature usage tracking. Hosted in the European Union (eu.i.posthog.com). Captures click and navigation events, masks password fields automatically, and respects the “Do Not Track” browser signal. See posthog.com/privacy.

3.4 Marketing cookies

Used to deliver relevant advertising and measure marketing campaign performance. We only set these where you have consented.

We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies in the app. If we add them, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

Some cookies are set by third parties whose services we use, such as analytics providers and payment processors. These providers may use cookies on our behalf in line with their own privacy and cookie policies:
